I think the eHarmony model is the best. It doesn't really matter what the answers to the questions are, if two people are so desperate that they'll fill out that annoying survey they are clearly in no position to be choosy any longer. Hook 'em up! :-)

Not to be too much of a geek, but I recently rewatched that episode, and the transporter split Kirk not into good and evil Kirk, but into analytic action-oriented Kirk and toughy-feely empathic Kirk. Neither one of them could run the Enterprise on his own without the other (although Action Kirk wanted to). Which supports your point even more....

Any tips on finding our complementor? Craigslist? Will you build a match.com for collaboration? Can I help on the questionnaire?

What a wonderful idea. I would add that I have always attempted to be honest with my strengths and weaknesses and then tried to find a person whose strength was my weakness... The collaborative partnerships that have leveraged weakness and strengths have been the most innovative, creative and more importantly fun relationships that I have ever had.
